Official BALL STATE UNIVERSITY Tour

The Cardinals Head to Vegas This November!

NOVEMBER 23–26, 2006

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas! The glittery, glamorous Strip and exciting Ball State Cardinals men’s basketball calls you this fall. The Official Ball State Findley Toyota Las Vegas Invitational Tour gives you the best way to indulge yourself on this terrific pre-conference tournament. You can catch this exciting tournament IN PERSON with fellow Cardinals fans and alumni and take in the majesty that is Las Vegas.

:

The Strip, from Mandalay Bay up to the Stratosphere, is the heart of the city, and the hub of the action is at the Flamingo Road intersection. Here’s where you find Paris, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and the Flamingo. Your hotel—the Rio—is just off the strip in this area. You can walk from the Rio to the Mirage, Treasure Island, and the Venetian hotels. It’s easy to get around (there’s a monorail that runs from Mandalay to Excalibur, with a stop at Luxor) and most casinos have restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and shows to rival those at the casinos mid-Strip. Your trip to Las Vegas is full of opportunity and a chance to see your Cardinals in the most exciting city in America is an extra bonus![?]

With deluxe amenities and the optional luxuries of traveling first-class with other Cardinals fans, you’re offered the chance to be catered to and pampered. Experience Cardinals men’s basketball in “America’s Playground” and revel in one of the great wins leading up to post-season play. Register now!

We’ve made it easy to join the Cardinals on tour...

The RIO All Suite Hotel and Casino (TEAM HOTEL) is located just off the Las Vegas Strip. The lobby features columns and stone floors and opens to the casino with a jungle of palm sprouts. Dining options are seemingly endless, a cosmopolitan array including Fiore Rotisserie for steak and seafood, an All-American bar and grill, Mexican and seafood restaurants, a well-regarded dining room featuring northern Indian cuisine, and the Carnival World Buffet, which lays out all-you-can-eat spreads designed around food from 11 ethnic regions. The Asian room features a live “rain forest.” The crowning glory, though, is the 50th-floor VooDoo Cafe, providing Creole and Cajun fare.

Numerous bars and a nightclub supply libations and after-hours dancing. Five show rooms feature music, dance and comedy shows, the best of which is Penn and Teller’s show. The major attraction is the hourly 12-minute sound-and-light show that takes guests on a journey aboard fantasy floats gliding above the casino, along with acrobats, elaborately dressed dancers, stilt-walkers and musicians. Mardi Gras beads rain down from the floats. Four pools, five whirlpools, a tropical lagoon with waterfalls and a sandy beach, a volleyball court, and a bandstand all mimic California beach living. The spa includes workout equipment, a steam room and a whirlpool.

Guest rooms feature floral fabrics, curving sectional sofas and rattan furnishings set a resorty tone, and window-walls gaze out on the Strip’s lights. The 32-inch TVs with Nintendo games swivel toward L-shaped settees and king or queen beds. Casino winnings can be stashed in safes, and combination baths are on the small side to make room for large vanities.
